The Shadow (3x42) magnification is high enough to use for long-distance observation, but it is compact enough to fit in a pocket. The Infrared (IR) Illuminator provides infrared lighting for an enhanced image, while staying invisible to the human eye and animal's eyes. The PULSET system utilizes quick IR energy bursts that penetrate further to increase distance, visibility and image quality, without significant battery drainage or untimely IR burnout. The Shadow (3x42) has a high enough magnification to use for long-distance observations, but also provides a lightweight, durable body that makes it easy to carry without hassle.
