The Nikon Monarch binoculars feature an advanced roof prism optical design. It incorporates Nikon's exclusive Eco-Glass (made without the use of arsenic or lead) for all lens and prism elements. Prisms feature phase-correction coatings and high reflection mirror coatings for superior sharpness and resolution, and all lenses and are fully coated with multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds for maximum light transmission. The result is much improved low-light brightness, edge-to-edge sharpness, and definition.
